Mitchell Isle, LPC-S, CSAT, SEP

Founder | Psychotherapist

Mitch specializes in providing collaborative therapy practices by joining with you and other healthcare professionals you work with to develop a holistic, individualized plan to reach your goals. By providing a safe space and trusting relationship, he will help you find hope, meaning in your suffering, healing and the development of practical strategies to manage life's difficulties in a healthy way moving forward.

As a supplement to his work, Mitch is certified as a CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) to address a variety of problematic and addictive behaviors, and a SEP (Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner), utilizing a body-oriented therapy approach to develop self-awareness, emotional capacity and resiliency, and resolve underlying trauma symptoms.

Prior to joining Communion Collaborative, Mitch worked at a Dallas outpatient organization where he served as a staff therapist, managed the clinical staff, oversaw clinical services delivery, added unique groups and programs, and improved internal clinical operations and staff collaboration.

Mitch earned his bachelors degree in 2002 and juris doctor degree in 2005 from Louisiana State University. Mitch worked in the NCAA compliance and athletic academic counseling fields where he discovered his passion to actively listen to other people’s stories, and approach conversations with a sense of care and curiosity. He later went back to school and earned his masters degree in counseling in 2012 from Dallas Theological Seminary. Mitch currently lives in Dallas with his wife and three children.

Mitch and his wife Heather founded Communion Collaborative in 2019, with the vision to bring quality, collaborative healthcare to the community on an outpatient basis. They strive to bring providers of multiple professional disciplines together to one team to provide the care and support each person deserves. They also envision providing free and low-cost counseling and prevention education services to groups, non-profits, organizations and companies with the hope of improving the psychological, emotional, physiological and spiritual well-being of each individual in the community.
